Anatomy of an Auto-Start Station

If you need the assurance of uninterrupted pumping ability, you may want to consider a Gorman-Rupp auto-start system. The base-mounted auto-start unit combines a pump, electric motor, and standby engine, all coupled to the same drive. If power is interrupted while pumping, the liquid level control signals the standby engine to start. When utility power is restored, normal AC operation resumes. The Auto-start Station eliminates the need for an expensive engine/generator set and transfer switch.

Fiberglass Enclosure

An enclosure is needed to house the equipment. The operator may also be sheltered from any inclement weather if he/she needs to service the equipment. A fiberglass enclosure will not rust, rot or corrode. It is maintenance free.
